PRODUCT & AI PLAN

AI that supports community operators and keeps people in control.

nipa-cat is exploring Claude API support workflows for Minecraft and Discord communities. This page separates the intended capabilities from what has already been implemented and shipped.

SCOPE

The problem we aim to solve

Operational problem

Questions about onboarding, rules, and routine procedures can require repeated answers. We aim to reduce repetitive work and avoid inconsistent guidance.

First proposed feature

Classify and summarize an inquiry, then prepare a draft answer using approved FAQs and operational guidance. A human operator makes the final decision and sends the response.

Proposed inputs

Staff-approved FAQs, published community rules, and request text selected by an operator. The design goal is to avoid collecting personal data beyond what is needed.

Human oversight

AI output is a reviewable suggestion. Staff should verify accuracy and source support. Unsupervised moderation sanctions, permission changes, and server commands are out of scope.

IMPLEMENTATION APPROACH

Incremental evaluation roadmap

  1. Prepare and approve FAQs

Establish reliable, maintainable source documents for operational answers.

  2. Run a limited Claude API evaluation

Test classification, summarization, and draft responses for accuracy and operational cost.

  3. Evaluate supervised operation

Design operator review and record-keeping before deciding whether to deploy.

Current status: These are planned evaluation activities, not a representation that a production Claude API integration or customer deployments exist.
