Minecraft community
Designing a community for Java and Bedrock players, with clearer onboarding, durable play experiences, and a welcoming environment.
nipa-cat is an independent project in Japan designing and developing online community experiences and operational tools, starting with Minecraft and extending across Discord and the web.
Communities depend not only on the experience of joining, but also on clear rules, helpful guidance, reliable support, and manageable operations.
We aim to design the game-server experience and its surrounding tools as a coherent system, rather than disconnected features.
Our initial focus is Minecraft communities supported by Discord.
Project stages are described explicitly. We do not present planned offerings or unverified traction as launched services.
Designing a community for Java and Bedrock players, with clearer onboarding, durable play experiences, and a welcoming environment.
Exploring Discord integration, announcements, support triage, moderation records, and server administration to reduce repetitive work.
Evaluating a workflow for summarizing support requests, drafting answers from approved FAQs, and requiring operator review.
Our approach is to support human operators with routine information processing—not to delegate consequential decisions to an AI system.
We are considering the following three-step workflow. Claude API integration remains a proposal under evaluation; we are not claiming this is a live production feature.
Classify and summarize operator-selected questions so staff can understand the issue quickly.
Use approved community FAQs and guidance to prepare a suggested response for review.
An operator checks the response and supporting information before replying. Automated sanctions or permission changes are out of scope.
